Wow – hasn’t this year started on a great note? My ten minute Anne Boleyn play is a finalist in the Eltham Little Theatre’s Ten Minute Quickie Ten Minute Play Competition. I feel like I’m a winner already. My short play will be performed over three nights! Below are the details for the call out to actors.

Synopsis
Details of the selected ten minute plays will be announced next week. A reading of these plays for interested directors and actors will be held mid-February. Date to be announced soon.
Play reading to be held in mid-February followed by an audition the following week.

- I fell 'in love' with Elizabeth Tudor as a ten year old, after some one gave me a child's book of history for a birthday present. This book not only introduced me to my life's first hero, a woman who gave her name to an age, but also to the joys of history. Even now knowing her many imperfections, I still love Elizabeth. Believe me - it's true. I named my daughter after her. Loving Elizabeth Tudor made me want to learn more about her times, starting me on a journey taking me backward and forward and backward and forward through the myriad realms of history. O- how I've travelled, learning about the lives of so many inspirational people, and discovering so much, not only about history but also about myself - all because some one once gave me a book.
